Ronnie “Tootie” Wilson
Booneville – Ronnie “Tootie” Wilson, 51. passed away on January 02, 2023 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a roofing contractor for 27 years, he enjoyed fishing, camping, cook outs and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of New Covenant Church.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, January 07, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial will be in Collums Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty George Wilson of Booneville; daughters, Angela George, April Christian, Amber Christian (David), Maleah Christian and Kambria Christian all of Booneville ; son, Jalen Christian of Booneville; mother, Wanda Wilson of Tupelo; sisters, Julie Jackson (Allan) and Sally Lyles (Jason) all of Saltillo; brothers, “Doc” Wilson (Liz of Tupelo, Willie Wilson of Saltillo, Danny Kidd (Mary) of Pontotoc: (5) grandchildren; (6) great-grandchildren; special great-grandchild, fat baby Livvy; special friends, Norman McDonald and Mitchell George; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Wilson; nephews, L. J. Buchanan and Boogle Collums; grandmother, Julie Wilson; uncle, Bo Collums; fishing buddy, Tippy Collums; grandson, Malachi Christian.
Pallbearers will be Terry George, Mitchell George, Eddie George, James Wilson, Jeremy Buchanan and Dustin George.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Gentry and David Hopper.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
