Betty Brazile Smith
Cordova- Betty Brazile Smith, 86, originally from Tupelo, died at her daughter’s home in Cordova, TN after an extended illness. She was a seamstress for many years in the manufacturing industry and a member of Longwood Baptist Church in Tupelo. She was a past employee of the Lee County School System where she worked in the Saltillo School lunch room. Betty enjoyed gardening, yard work, her flowers, reading and cooking.
Services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Rusty Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Brazile Riley (Wayne) of Cordova, TN; sister, Jannie Brown (Allen) of Tupelo; brother, Billy Langford (Ruth) of Tupelo; niece, Barbara Kilgore (Mitch) of Jackson, TN; nephew, Brad Brown (Tammy) of Tupelo; great-nephew, B. J. Brown (Sara) of North Carolina; great-niece, Brittany Hasenbeck (Ross); great-great-niece, Brooklyn R. Hasenbeck; host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ada Bradley Langford; first husband, W. C. Brazile and her second husband, Ralph Smith.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Minor, Barry Bradley, Greg Reed, Sammy Reed, Mike Tillman and Randy Sharp.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
