Billy Jones
Graveside service for Billy Jones, 75, of Corinth, MS will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Corinth National Cemetery.
Billy passed away on February 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1947 to the late Malcolm and Synthia Jones in Corinth, MS. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working. He loved talking with people and helping them in any way that he could. Billy liked talking about the Bible and was saved at an early age.
After high school, he joined the United States Army in the 101st Airborne. He made three tours in Vietnam from 1966-1968. He served as a door gunner on a Helicopter and made one jump during his time in Vietnam. In 1967, he was wounded and received a purple heart and other Vietnam medals.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Jones; daughters, Kim Jones and Kelly Jones; son, Jameson West; step-daughter, Shucara Fry; sisters, Mary Robbins and Ann Metfee; brother, John Jones; and 4 grandchildren.
