Roger Michael Springer, 73, passed away on February 27, 2023 at his residence in Starkville, MS. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phillis Brown Springer; and his parents, Erol Winston Springer and Melba Jean Umstead Springer.
Roger was survived by his sister, Debrah Lyon of Starkville, MS; brother, Jim Springer of Arkansas; nephew, Jeremy Wayne Lyon of Maryland; caregivers, Hattie Kelly and Chekila Young, both of Starkville, MS; and friends, Keith Webb of Louisville, MS, Larry and Cheryl Pickens of New Albany, MS, Gloria Ashford of Louisville, MS, and Patrick and Lisa Doane of Starkville, MS
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Starkville.
