Bettie Parker Gustafson, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, at her residence. She was born on Monday, April 11th, 1938, to Homer and Bonnie Parker. She was a member of Bolton United Methodist Church where she played the piano and sang in the choir. Bettie graduated from Booneville High School in 1956 and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. She was a member of DAR, Daughters of 1812 and spent many years as a Girl Scout leader. She loved genealogy, traveling out West and shopping for Antiques. She loved the Lord, her friends and family, Elvis Presley, Booneville and the good ol’ USA!
She is survived her husband, Larry ‘Gene’ Gustafson Sr.; her two sons, Larry Gustafson Jr. and William C. Gustafson; her two daughters, Bonnie R. Crawford and Ginger Paysinger (Thomas); her grandchildren, Chris Crawford, Amber Horne, Audrey Grammer, Holden Gustafson, and Parker Gustafson; and her great-grandchildren, Kyndall Lee, Jaycie Crawford, Peyton Hester, Stella Grammer, Wyatt Grammer, and Savannah Horne.
She is preceded in death by her father, Homer W. Parker; her mother, Bonnie L. Robertson; her step-mother, Vivian Irene Parker; her two brothers, Raymond Parker and O’Neil Parker; and her grandchild, Cody Gustafson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, March 13th, 2023, at McMillan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Bolton United Methodist Church in Arlington, Tennessee.
