Rita Paulette Edwards, a loving wife, mother, teacher, and music minister, passed away Thursday night, April 6th, 2023 in her family home in Starkville, Mississippi. She was surrounded by her family as she entered the gates of heaven.
Paulette is survived by her sisters, Judy Lockhart of Gibsonville, North Carolina, Sandy McHann and husband Keith of Starkville. Her children, Brooke Redus and husband PJ and Joel Edwards, of Starkville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nick Wylie and fiancé Elizabeth Reeder, and Austin Wylie of Starkville and her aunt and uncle, Howard and Faye Combs, of Greensboro, North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Violet Lockhart and her loving husband, Joe Edwards.
Visitation will be held at Starkville Church of God on Monday April 10th from 12:30-2:00 P.M. with the funeral following immediately after visitation and graveside ceremony after.
