Eloise Ford Waters
Guntown- Eloise Ford Waters passed away on April 24, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born December 15, 1926 to Cloe and Enoch Ford of Guntown, MS. She was the widow of Dan Henry Waters, Jr.to whom she was married for 63 years until his death in 2012. She attended both Ole Miss and Union University in Jackson,TN. She worked at International Chemical Company and Standard Oil company in Tupelo before dedicating herself to her true calling of being a full-time mother to her 2 children. Her family was truly the joy of her life. She loved being a devoted wife and mother, and especially being a doting grandmother.
She was a longtime member of Collierville United Methodist Church in Collierville, TN and most recently Pleasant Valley United Methodist after moving back home to Guntown, Ms.
She is survived by her children, Dan Henry Waters III and Ann Waters Howell (Jim) and 2 grandchildren, Ford Waters Howell and Emma Caroline Howell.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Enoch and Cloe Farley Ford.
Services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Sunday April 30, 2023 @ 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Sims Meredith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Guntown.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2:00 p. m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 1002 CR 503, Guntown MS 38849.
