FULTON – Bobbie Jean Funderburk Stephens, 89, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at The Meadows. She was born September 28, 1933, to James and Lydia Grissom Funderburk. She was a seamstress for the public most of her life. She worked as a seamstress in furniture plants for Graham and Cooley, and owned her own business, MARS Inc., for many years. She was a member of the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy in Mooreville. She was an avid reader who loved reading her bible and sewing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Ryan Napalo and Bro. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita Schoenecker (Brian) of Wichita, KS, and Teresa Murphy (Bruce) of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Chris Jackson (Jamie) of Eglin AFB, FL; Robert Jackson (Gabi) of Oklahoma; Stephen Jackson of Springfield, MO; Erin Jackson of Fulton, MS; Laura Lann Glissen (Paul) of Tupelo, MS, Amanda Lann Gaskin (Jason) of Columbus, MS; and David Murphy of Hatley, MS; ten great-grandchildren, Jace Jackson, Carson Jackson, Lola Jackson, Hazel Jackson, Landen Blair, Lawson Glissen, Presley Gaskin, Elliott Gaskin, Gavin Gaskin, and Estelle Gaskin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Merwyn “Steve” Stephens, whom she married May 21, 1954; her parents, James and Lydia Funderburk; five brothers, Delmer, Charles, Edsel, Leroy, and Lyndon Funderburk; and five sisters, Laurene Davis, Lulee Davis, Ruby Davis, Marjorie Funderburk, and Eileene Thompson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
