MANTACHIE – Cora Phene Cooley, 90, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at CountryWood Manor Assisted Living in Mantachie. She was born December 2, 1932, to Paul and Letha Burcham Brown. She worked at Mantachie and Marietta Manufacturing. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, crafts, crossword puzzles, gardening, and her flowers.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Jim Manley and Bro. Royce Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Fawn Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, June Riley of Mantachie and Paula Christopher (Tony) of Anniston, AL; one brother, Bro. Dee Brown of Fulton; five grandchildren, Kevin Riley (Lana), Candy Brown (Cass), Amanda Henderson (Bret), Cayla Third (Zach), and Jacklyn Oliphant (Brent); ten great-grandchildren, Sydney Windham (Jimmy), Anna Brooke Cannon (Chase), Catch Brown, Beckett Brown, Adley Brown, Moxleigh Oliphant, Briggins Oliphant, Hanx Oliphant, Hudson Third, and Lorelai Third; and one great-great grandchild, Crew Cannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Kenyon Brown, Ray Brown, Lester Brown, and Jay Brown; three sisters, Mae Patrick, Elvia Clouse, and Sue Lamb; her son-in-law, William Archie Riley; and a grandson, William Shane Riley.

Pallbearers will be Brent Oliphant, Bret Henderson, Zach Third, Cass Brown, Scott Clouse, Clint Oswalt, Craig Clouse, Larry Dee Brown, and Jimmy Windham.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
