Danny Stephens, 74, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born November 26, 1948, to Stacy Waldon and Madge Marie Hulsey Stephens. In his earlier years, he worked at PKS building bridges and doing construction work. He did maintenance and security work at Marshall Durbin, among other places. He also worked at Walmart in Amory and Tupelo. He enjoyed watching westerns, gardening, and fishing. He was an avid conversationalist and had a great sense of humor.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Ricky Lesley officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, April Morris (Darrell) of the Carolina community, Jennifer Stephens of Nettleton, Kim Guyton (Ray) of Nettleton, and Shonda Pannell of the Alpine community; one nephew, Jim Stephens of Greenup, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Killian Stephens, who died in 2019; one son, James Daniel Stephens, who died in 2018; an infant sister; one brother, James Hubert Stephens; and his parents.
Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
