James Hall, 79, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born August 25, 1943, in Pensacola, Florida while his father was a Marine serving there during World War II. When James started first grade, his parents returned to Brandon, MS where he lived throughout his youth, graduating from Brandon High School in 1961. He then earned an Associates Degree from Hinds Community College and studied at Ole Miss. Later, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College.

James was a long-time member of Parkway Baptist Church, Clinton, MS, and a current member of First Baptist Church, Bruce. James was a man who lived his Christian faith. He served many years as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He loved his family dearly and lived a life guided by the Bible.

James began his career working in credit and finance. After spending over 20 years working as a finance and insurance manager for heavy equipment and large trucking dealerships, he began his own web-based insurance business, where he worked until his retirement.

James served with the Mississippi National Guard for over 24 years, beginning in Brandon, Mississippi in the 113th Military Police Unit. At his retirement, he was a Chief Warrant Officer (CW3) with the Selective Service Unit in Jackson, MS.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and visiting with friends and family. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and LA Dodger baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Monroe and Laura Madden Hall; a son Alan Stuart Hall; and brothers-in-law Marvis Ferguson and Ken Crill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Patsy Ferguson Hall of Bruce, MS; son James Brian Hall (Lynn) of Madisonville, LA; daughter Patricia Jan Hildebrand (Bill) of Brandon, MS; granddaughter Keely Hall; grandsons Jacob Hildebrand and Patrick Hall; brother-in-law Matelon Ferguson (Nancy); sisters-in-law Myra Crill and Louise Ferguson; nephews Joe Ferguson and Doug Ferguson and nieces Teresa Lara and Tammy Spratlin.

Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Anderson officiating and Rev. Ryan Reed assisting. Burial will follow in Memory Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Bennett, Doug Ferguson, Bob Ford, Patrick Hall, Jacob Hildebrand, Miles Jeffrey, Robert Edward Oakley, and Robbie Spratlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ferguson, David Lara, Rickie Vaughn, David Wall, Lou Zemek, and the deacons of First Baptist Church, Bruce.
