Peggy Whitehurst
A Graveside service for Margaret “Peggy” Whitehurst, 86, is set for 11:00 am Wednesday at Box Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Nathan VanHorn officiating.
Peggy died May 16, 2023 in Corinth. She was born June 6, 1936 in Corinth to the late James Paul and Thelma Yeager. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was active singing in the choir until her health declined. She was a homemaker whom enjoyed floral arranging, working crossword puzzles, reading Christian novels and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul Yeager, Jr., Col. William Yeager, Ret.; and daughter-in-law, Savannah Whitehurst.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Whitehurst; son, Bobby Whitehurst; daughter, Betty Ann Coggin (Rick); grandchildren, Sarah Christian (Jared), Will Coggin, Kelli Williford (Derek); and great grandchildren, Wyatt and Grady Christian.
