Charles Paul “Bom” Blackwelder, 54, of Bruce departed this life suddenly on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Bom was born on September 9, 1968, in Vardaman to the late Charles Lee Blackwelder and Linda Ray Murphree Smith.

Graduate of Bruce High School class of 1986, he was a trucker for Parker Brothers. Bom was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was an active member of Vietnam Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, The Sons of The Confederate, and The Highway Men. He was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church. Bom will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Blackwelder; his parents Charles Lee Blackwelder and Linda Ray Murphree Smith; brothers: Jeff Lee Blackwelder and William Bradley Howell.

He leaves behind his son Dusty and wife Devin Blackwelder of Holcomb, MS, and mother-in-law Pearline Hughes Saxon of Bruce, MS.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Bom's life will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Blackwelder and Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Terry Arthur, Chad Baker, Dustin Dunegan, Larry Hellums, John Henry and Mike Simmons will serve as pallbearers. V.N.V.L.V.M.C. and The Sons of The Confederate will serve as honorary pallbearers.
