Mrs. Mary Huggins McLane, 70, died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN. There are no services planned at this time.
Mrs. McLane was born on December 13, 1952, in Gleason, TN, to the late Charles Willard and Sarah Fleming Huggins. She was the 87th female to graduate from Georgia Technical Institute. While at Georgia Tech, she pursued her Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Management. In her youth, she held an admiration for horses, and was a talented equestrian. Mrs. McLane was a longtime resident of Aiken, South Carolina, working as the Production Manager with Owens Corning Fiberglass for 32 years. After relocating to Oxford, MS, she joined the Cedar Oaks Guild, where she worked alongside other women in the community to help support the historic estate. Nothing brought her joy quite like her vegetable and flower gardens, spending many hours tending them to perfection. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Huggins.
Mrs. McLane is survived by her husband, Philip D. McLane of Oxford, MS; daughter, Jill Lawrence (Drew) of Atlanta, GA; son, Patrick D. McLane (Todd Cain) of Louisville, KY; brother, John Huggins of Villa Rica, GA; and one grandchild, Mays Lawrence.
