Angela Grisham South, 56, resident of Booneville and devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, passed away May 24, 2023, at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, TN following a brief illness.
Born March 11, 1967 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of Evelyn Young Grisham and the late Danny Lee Grisham. Angie was a 1985 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and was married January 18, 1986 to her beloved husband of 37 years, James Larry South, who survives. Angie’s greatest work was her loyal devotion of taking care of her family.
A multi-talented lady, Angie’s passion was her crafting skills, decorating and wonderful cooking. She handcrafted many custom wreaths and decorative items for her family and friends carefully customizing each piece. Angie’s home was often open and she generously cooked for countless neighbors and friends. She will be remembered by many as a warm and loving friend who was always ready to listen and do for others.
In addition to her husband, Angie is survived by her children, Weston, Jackson and Zackary South of Booneville, two sisters Tracie Sanders (Robert) of St. Mary’s, GA and Mindy Seiler (David) of Birmingham, AL and one brother Kenny Grisham of Ripley. She is also survived by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
As per Angie’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family is grateful to family and friends who have been so kind and supportive during the time of sorrow. Your prayers, visits, calls and other acts of kindness have given us strength and inspiration.
