Jerry Wade Murphy

Jerry Wade Murphy, 68, passed away May 31, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born August 2, 1954, to William Troy and Myrtis Lorene Murphy. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Sergeant. He spent several decades as a truck driver and loved cooking for his family.
A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Shawn Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Judy Murphy; his daughter, Ginger Cox (Brian); his brother, Terry Murphy (Linda); his sister, Mavoline Moore; his three grandchildren, Corey Watson (Hannah), Kyle Cox, and Erin Cox; his great-grandchild, Jensen Watson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Troy Murphy; his mother, Myrtis Lorene Murphy; his brother, Wayne Murphy; and his three sisters, Helen Jones, Liz Glaspie, and Jeanette Hoosier.
Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
