Georgia Frances Miller Smith passed away on June 6, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She was born January 20, 1956 and graduated from Starkville High School in 1974. She is currently employed as a bus driver for the Starkville School System.
Georgia enjoyed spending time with her family, working with her flowers and plants. She was a phenomenal cook and loved to feed anyone who stopped by her house.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Robert A. Miller and Ms. Joy Ann Chambless, her sister Bobbie Ann Lee and baby daughter, Bobbie Frances “Sissy” Smith.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Gene Smith, her children Ronnie Smith (Jennifer), Jessie Bell (Courtney), Jennie Smith Brown, and Robert Smith. She was the proud grandma of 8 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Curtis Chapel Cemetery in Starkville.
