DORSEY – Roger Beachum, 81, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1942, in Tupelo to Hubert and Eva Moore Beachum. Roger was over the accounting department at JESCO for over 54 years. He was a long-time active member of Greenwood Baptist Church where he served as treasurer for over 50 years. Roger served in the National Guard for six years where he spent time in Seattle, Washington, and was a member of the Dorsey Lions Club. He was an avid Mississippi State fan, especially baseball, where he was a long-time season ticket holder.

Services will be at noon Wednesday, June 14, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Bain and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Evelyn Beachum; his son, Eugene Beachum; and his daughter, Debra Bailey (Jeff), all of Dorsey; and four grandchildren, Darbie Childress (John), Reid Bailey, Eva Beachum, and Jonathan Beachum.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Steven Staub, Kelly Martin, Jerry Maxcy, Joel Moore, Wayne Thorn, and Jim Johnson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roger's memory to the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice floor or to the Operation Christmas Child Ministry in care of Greenwood Baptist Church.
