Patricia "Pat" Smith Haney,76, of Pontotoc, MS, passed away June 9, 2023 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS, after a long battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 1946, in Memphis, TN, to Dr. Joseph Ray Smith and Florine Harmon Smith of Paris, TN. She was raised in Paris, TN, and graduated from The Tower High School before attending Murray State University. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of DAR, NRA and Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Earnest Burdette "Burt" Haney; two sons, William Ray Haney (Kerri) and Joseph Boyd Haney (Missy) both of Pontotoc, MS; four grandchildren, Joseph, Clarissa, Kelsey and Emma.
She is preceded in death by, her parents; and her only sister, Pam Wiernasz of Horn Lake, MS.
Following her wishes, there will be no service or memorial.
