Thomas Wesley Shelley Sr. was born May 10, 1934, in Prentiss County unto the late
Charlie and Pearlie Mae Shelley. He departed his life on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at his
home in Baldwyn, MS after a brief illness.
He was a faithful member of New Tabernacle M. B Church in Baldwyn, MS. He was
a member of the Deacon Board. On February 26, 1955, he married Emma Jean Tate
and to this union five children were born. One son preceded him in death, Willie
Louis Shelley.
Wesley was a very hard worker and had many jobs such as: machine operator,
construction, and a car dealer, which he enjoyed very much.
He is survived by his children: Thomas W. (Phylus) Shelley Jr. of Booneville, MS,
Betty J. (Terry) Dillion of North Carolina, Larry Shelley, and Rodney Shelley Sr.
both of Baldwyn, MS, daughter-in-law, Pattie Shelley of Baldwyn, MS; sister,

Emma Mae Williams of Booneville, MS seven grandchildren, and nine great-
grandchildren, several sisters and brothers-in-law; also a host of cousins, nieces,

nephews and friends.
