Lanette Brassfield Stanford
Blue Springs- Lanette Brassfield Stanford 86, passed away on Monday, July 03, 2023 at her home in Alpine. She was born April 29, 1937 to Avis Plummer Brassfield and Charles Brassfield. She lived in Alpine and Branyan community all her life. She enjoyed dancing as long as she was able, cooking, and baking cakes and pies for several restaurants in the area. She continued baking until December 2022 when her health failed her. Baking and cooking was her passion. Lanette was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday, July 06, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Terry Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her only daughter, Deborah Stephens (Steve Wallace); grandson, Chris Pannell (Natasha Williams) of Mooreville; great-grandchildren, who knew her as, “Nanoo”, Conner Pannell and Ty Pannell of Mooreville; step-children, Burney Johnson (Patty) of Keownville and Sandra Hale (David) of New Albany; step-grandchildren, Kevin Johnson (Beth), Patrick Johnson (Anna), Mindy Seger (Bubba); five step great-grands; special friend, Bobby Owen of New Albany; host of friends from Westwood Industries in Tupelo; Lanette dearly loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her daughter, Virgil Davis; her beloved husbands, Paul Johnson and Hershel Stanford.
Pallbearers will be Chris Pannell, Breland Randle, Ronnie Bell, Glen Coleman and Johnny Epting.
Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Pannell and Ty Pannell.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday from noon until service time at 2:00 p. m.
