Mr. Stephen Kelly Martin, 70, died Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home in Batesville, MS. There are no services planned at this time.
Mr. Martin was born on November 11, 1952, to the late Johnny and Carol Martin. A native of Mississippi, he deeply loved the beautiful state he called home. As often as possible, Mr. Martin spent time outdoors, enjoying the nature that surrounded him. A resident of the Coles Point community, he believed firmly in helping one’s neighbor and sticking close by your loved ones. He was proud to live through some of the greatest eras of music, from Classic Rock to Bluegrass, he had an extensive music library and love for all genres. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kevin Martin and Brian Martin; and his sister, Robyn Yearout.
Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Amy Martin Giannopulos of Nashville, TN; sons, Austin Martin and his fiancé, Megan Bridges of Dallas, TX and Andrew Martin of Dallas, TX; ex-wife, Susan Stockman; sister, Debbie Flanigan and her husband, Bill of Batesville, MS; and two grandchildren, Cameron Roe and Presley Martin.
