Ricky Darnell Peters
Baldwyn- Ricky Darnell Peters, 71, passed away on Saturday July 22, 2023 at his home. He had worked for the railroad as a track layer and he retired as an insurance salesman. Ricky was a great outdoorsman and he enjoyed crappie fishing, hunting, singing and writing his own songs, watching westerns, and spending time in his cabin in TN on the Kentucky Lake. He was a man that loved his family dearly and treasured every moment with his Grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard and a member of South Prentiss Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Jeff Hughes and Bro. Lamar Cook officiating. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Peters; daughters, Dana Glidewell (Glen) and Vickie Baker (Marty);
Son, Tracy Peters (Loretta); sisters, Lorraine Sandlin and Tresa Hall (Fred); brothers, Danny Peters (Virginia), Gary Peters (IvaNell) and Kenny Peters (Phylis) and Trent Peters (Sean); grandchildren, Lacy Moore (Will), Maverick Peters (Kelsey), Harley Peters (special friend, Rainie Rodgers), Cortney Ausburn (Chad), Anna Hood (Aaron), Abby Blassingame, Andy Baker (Brittney), Heather Sanders; great-grandchildren, Jace Moore, Millie Moore, Luke Peters, Maddie Ausburn, Jase Ausburn, Gabe Ausburn, Archie Hood and Arlen Hood; host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvil and Wilma Cook Peters and his brother, Lanny Peters.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Lindsey, Ty Lindsey, Joey Peters, Maverick Peters, Harley Peters and Jake Sandlin.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p. m.
