Mr. Kenneth Franklin Gatlin, 67, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, peacefully in his sleep at his home in Somerville, TN. A private graveside service will be held in Oxford, MS.
Kenneth was born on August 10, 1955, in Memphis, TN, to the late Kirby Franklin and Mary Blaylock Gatlin. A 1974 graduate of Wooddale High School in Memphis, TN, Kenneth spent the early years of his career working with his father at Gatlin Construction Company. His presence will be greatly missed at his apartment complex, where he was known to sit in his rocker and happily greet his neighbors daily. Kenneth’s warm smile and friendly conversations always brought joy to their hearts. He enjoyed time spent weekly with his friends going out to eat and looked forward to his monthly outsitting with his sister and brother-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Sue Gatlin McMillan.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John Babb of Rossville, TN as well as three nieces and four nephews.
