Jackie Norman Jones
Pontotoc- Jackie Jones 36, passed on Thursday July 27, 2023 of an ATV accident. He was born June 12, 1987. Jackie was born at NMMC in Tupelo to Jimmy Glen and Wanda Jones of Blue Springs MS. Jackie loved building things, climbing, hunting, fishing and working on cars; Jackie was a jack of all trades. Jackie married Hallie Holcomb on December 16, 2006 and they were married for 16 years with 1 daughter Lorna Diane Jones. Lorna was her daddy’s little DJ, boo-boo and monkey; she was her fathers whole world, pride and joy. Jackie was employed with Barnes Crossing Hyudai Tupelo. Jackie loved his family and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Hallie Holcomb Jones, daughter Lorna (DJ) Jones both of Pontotoc, mother Wanda Ham of Pontotoc, brother Jimmy Jones (JoAnne) of Blue Springs, sister Glenda Miles (Jessie) of Baldwyn, half-brothers Clint Jones (Amber) of Wheeler, Matt Jones of Iuka, grandmother Brenda Joyce Jones of Blue Springs, 2 nephews and 5 nieces along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be 5 pm on Sunday July 30, 2023 at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Jones cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Glen Jones, 2 grandfathers Jimmy Clifton Jones, Raymond Thrasher (Pops), grandmother Hattie Thrasher, 2 aunts Peggy Barnett, Ann Cole.
Visitation will be 2 – 5 pm on Sunday July 30, 2023 at Waters Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Floyd, Darrell Holcomb, Clint Jones, Matt Jones, Steve Floyd and Chris Hale. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael McBrayer and Donnie Gilley.
