Felix Hutcheson Jr.
Blue Springs, Felix Hutcheson, Jr. 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 08, 2023 at the Veteran’s Nursing Facility in Oxford. He had a servant’s heart and enjoyed being involved with Gideon’s Bible program, Baptist Children’s Village, local veteran’s post and mission fields. He was an employee of DayBrite Mfg. for over 20 years and a Baptist Minister for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict and he was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at Camp Creek Baptist Church on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Chad Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his sons, Donald Hutcheson (Brenda) of Pontotoc, Bob Hutcheson (Debbie) of Blue Springs, Bill Hutcheson of Blue springs, Tom Hutcheson (Maria)of Blue Springs; son-in-law, Rodger Gentry of Pontotoc; grandchildren, Michael Hutcheson (Melissa), Amanda Schaeffer (Brian), Kelli Greer (Shohn), Will Hutcheson (Jessika), Wendy Gaitieri (Eric), Michael Gentry, Adam Gentry (Audrey) and Tyler Hutcheson (Hannah); (13) great-grandchildren; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Hutcheson; parents, William Phelix and Effie Floyd Hutcheson; daughter, Judy Gentry; five brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hutcheson, Will Hutcheson, Michael Gentry, Adam Gentry, Tyler Hutcheson, Shohn Greer and Eric Galtieri.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Camp Creek’s Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at Camp Creek Baptist Church on Friday.
