James Edward "Mitch" Jones, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at his home. He was born September 7, 1955, in Fulton, to Jimmie Ree Stone and Fannie Lou Jones. He worked for the City of Fulton Water Department. He was an avid fisherman.
Services will be at a later date. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Tyrane Jones of Fulton and Alonzo Jones of Detroit, MI; two daughters, Tia Howell of Fulton and Lachaka Jones-Barksdale of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Daisy Stone and Maisy Stone, both of Fulton; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several cousins, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by several siblings and his parents.
There will be a public visitation Saturday, August 26, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
