Rodney Dunaway
Baldwyn- Rodney Leroy Dunaway “Spanky”, 58, born on June 20, 1965 to Janell Sanders Dunaway and Billy Ray Dunaway in Tupelo MS, passed on August 30, 2023 at home from a sudden death. Rodney enjoyed a lot of things but his favorite pastime was watching football and spending time with his grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, September 09, 2023 @ 5:00 p.m. at 1136 Smithey Drive, Baldwyn, MS. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dunaway of Baldwyn; son, Brian (Angela)Lindsey of Baldwyn; sisters, Jackye (Tomrick) Walker of Plantersville and Denise (Mickey) Cartwright of Florida; brother, Darrell (Donna) Dunaway of Mantachie; aunt, Debbie (Berwyn) Grissom of Mantachie; four grandchildren, Cameron Cox, Isabella Dunaway, Kinsey Lindsey and Nolan Lindsey all of Baldwyn. He left behind a special cousin Rebecca Lyons, a very special friend, Nicky Owens, and a person that was always in his heart, Lisa Lindsey Dunaway; host of nieces and nephews; a person that he thought of as a mother, Loretta Anderson.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Frank and Katherine Sanders and Johnnie B. and Vernie Dunaway; aunt, Sharee Sanders and his uncle, Roy Dunaway.
Family and friends are welcome to come by and share storied of our father with us. Our family would love to hear all the stories.
