Charles Lee Smith, Sr., 63, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton. He was born December 18, 1959, at the Guantanamo Bay Naval base in Cuba, to Noel Lee and Juanita Marie Williams Smith, Jr. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he obtained his Telecommunications degree. He worked at WCBI and WLOV, among other places. He was an avid reader, and he loved history and watching old western re-runs.
Services will be private.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Smith, Jr. (Jessie) of Nettleton, Elisha Smith (Rebekah) of Pontotoc, and Colby Smith of West Point; two brothers, Edward Williams of Natchez and Richard Williams of Brookhaven; the mother of his children, Carolyn Holliman of Amory.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Smith and Donald Smith; and his parents.
