David Matthew Mitchell, 45, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at his home in Flowood. He was born August 7, 1978, in Tupelo, to Dennis and Deborah George Mitchell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mantachie. He worked at FL Crane & Sons for almost 20 years before. He was currently working at Custom Products Corporation in Jackson as a welder. He was a very talented worker who could do anything in construction. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing the guitar, and collecting cast iron. He loved Mississippi State and was an avid cook.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Long officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Springs Cemetery.

Survivors include his father and mother, Dennis and Deborah Mitchell; three daughters, Callie Mitchell (fiancé Hart Jumper), and Callie’s mother Kimberly Spencer; Juliana Mitchell and Avery Mitchell, and their mother, Kimberly Bennett; three siblings, Timothy Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, and Dee Mitchell; two grandchildren, Mary Jane Timms and Addicus Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
