Sarah James Tatum passed away from this earth on Saturday morning, September 9, 2023 at the age of 90. She was born in Starkville on July 30, 1933 to O.J. James and Vera James.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tatum; her father and mother and wonderful step-mother, Willodean James.
She is survived by her son, Lee Phillips; daughter, Cindy Litsinger (Tim) of Madison, MS; her granddaughter, Lexy Petry (Steven) of Birmingham, AL; and two precious great granddaughters, Sweden and LeeLee Petry.
Mother had a huge faith in God and attended Fellowship Baptist Church where her services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023, with visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with the service immediately following. Rev. Dickey Bryan will conduct the service.
