Dorris Maxine Cain,90, of Banner our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 14, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. She was born on December 31, 1932, in Bruce, Mississippi, to her late parents James Andrew Turner and Mary Maggie Massey Turner.

A true pillar of her community, Dorris was a faithful member of Sarepta Baptist Church. Maxine was a hard worker in her earlier years she worked as a seamstress for Glenn Slacks and Jr. Food Mart serving as manager for the Bruce, Calhoun City and Okalona Locations. She also enjoyed mowing her yard but above all she loved her family.

Maxine will be deeply missed by her children, Kay McCormick, Terry Dean (Teresa) Cain, and Tony Max Cain all of Banner; her cherished grandchildren, Lynn (Casey) McCormick, Craig (Lori) McCormick, Chad (Jonna) Cain, Nichole (Neal) Wright, Brooke Cain, Gency (Devin) Smith, and Brianne Cain; and her adored great-grandchildren, Megan McCormick, Makayla McCormick, Miranda Wade, Rhett McCormick, Branson McCormick, Landon McCormick, Carson McCormick, Alissa McCormick, Marissa McCormick, Callie Cain, Kobe Cain, Easton Cain, Kylie McGinnis, Jacie McGinnis, Brylee Smith, Cain Wright, and Taylor Hudson, great-great grandchildren; Ayson McCormick, Myles McCormick and Coleson Wade. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda (John Thomas) Campbell.

Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Cain, parents; James Andrew Turner and Mary Maggie Massey Turner, son; Kenneth Wayne Cain, brothers; A.B. Turner, Gayle Turner, Delaine Turner, sisters; Helen Rushing, Jimmie Faye Davis, Dorotyh Spearman, and a great grandchild; Stephanie McCormick.

A funeral service honoring Maxines remarkable life will take place at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home on September 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating. The family will recieve friend from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. John-John Campbell, Easton Cain, Kobe Cain, Randy Cain, Tommy Cain, Jr. Hillhouse, Jerry Turner and Neal Wright will serve as pallbears carrying Maxine to her final resting place in Sarepta Cemetery.

Dorris Maxine Cain's memory will forever warm our hearts, and her spirit will guide us through the days ahead. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love and influence will remain timeless. May she find eternal peace and rest in the arms of her beloved Savior.
