On the 22nd day of May, 1967, Christy Shelaine
Chandler was born to the late Andrew and Channie Mae
Shinault. The night of October 5th, 2023, God stopped by
and took his loving daughter home. Christy was the
widow to her late husband, Bobby Lee Chandler. They
were married 29 years, and have five daughters. Christy
was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother,
sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She attended Wheeler
School. She became a member of Ruben Chapel Church at
an early age. Christy was selfless, she loved to smile and
laugh. She was very caring and didn’t think twice about
helping anyone. She loved her family like no other.
Christy leaves to cherish her memories; five daughters:
Felicia Shinault of Baldwyn, MS, Teagan Shinault of
Belden, MS, and Santana Shinault, Adriana Shinault and
Christina (Isaac) Leslie of Booneville, MS; ten
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers:
Billy Shinault and David Shinault of Baldwyn, MS and
Charles (Renay) Lowery of Booneville, MS; two sisters:
Betty Penrose and Tessa Mitchell of Baldwyn, MS; one
sister-in-law: Tammy (Billy) Owens of Palmetto, MS;
four brothers-in-law: Thomas (Sophia) Chandler of
Tupelo, MS, Tyrone Chandler of Guntown, MS, Ricky
Chandler and Micheal (Phyliss) Chandler of Baldwyn,
MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Christy is preceded in death by her parents: Andrew
and Channie Mae Shinault; a granddaughter; a sister:
JoAnn Beene; four brothers: Oliver Lewis, Jerry Wayne,
Jimmy Ray and Terry Wayne Shinault; a sister-in-law:
Teresa Fryar; two brothers-in-law: Gregory Mitchell and
Danny Jo Penrose, and other relatives.
