Gwen Garrard, 69, passed away on October 24, 2023 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. She was a retired representative for Nationwide Insurance Company and a member of Starkville Church of Christ. Gwen was a loving mother, sister, and caregiver for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas Garrard, Jr. and Faye Weining.
Gwen is survived by her daughter, Amy Lynn Smith; son, Jimmy Franks, II; dad, Bob Weining, all of Starkville, MS; two grandsons, Brad Franks and Brent Russell; three great grandchildren; sister, Amy Woodward (Larry) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; brother, Jim Garrard (Emily) of Starkville, MS; and nephews, Jimbo Garrard and Charlie Neese.
There will be a visitation Friday, October 27, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, followed by the graveside service at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville.
