Ms. Nola Zane Davis, 89, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. The funeral will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Dr. Eric Dahl and Minister Les Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Ms. Davis was born on April 19, 1934 in Toccopola, MS to the late Clinton and Nola Brummett Davis. She worked as an administrative secretary for MS Vocation Rehabilitation until 1993 before joining Living Independence (LIFE) where she served as the director until her retirement in 1998.

She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Oxford Church of Christ and enjoyed playing Rook, watching television, reading, solving crossword puzzles and days out shopping. Her kind smile allowed people to feel comfortable around her and she enjoyed spending time visiting and talking with friends and strangers alike. Throughout her career, she published five articles in Rehab Review. As Center Director, she helped many people with disabilities by acting and serving as an advocate on their behalf.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Harress and Troy Davis and her niece, Linda Knouff. She is survived by her brother, Clinton “C.B.” Davis and his partner, Zee of Tupelo, MS; a niece Alisa Davis of Olive Branch, MS; two nephews, Paul Davis and his wife, Kim of Olive Branch and Sammy Davis of Hernando, MS; her great friend, Tresia Byrd of Potts Camp, MS along with many dear friends from Oxford Church of Christ.
