Dr. Lydia Halda-Alija, 64, died Sunday, December 3, 2023, in Batesville, MS. There are no services planned at this time.
Lydia was born February 21, 1959, to Ladislav Halda and Radmila Todorovic in Belgrade, Serbia. She was Professor Emeritus of Biology at The University of Mississippi and a chemical truck driver. Lydia cherished her Catholic faith and her kindness touched all of those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. She was preceded in death by her father and by her beloved husband, Alexander Halda-Alija.
Lydia is survived by her mother, Radmila Todorovic and her sister, Tatjana Halda, both of Germany.
