Donald Ray Bolton III "BJ", 45, passed away in his home on December 9, 2023, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He was known for his direct nature never one to mince words or shy away from the truth. His outspokenness and blunt honesty were trademarks that earned him both respect and admiration. He was a devoted husband, and adoring father, a loving son, and a cherished friend. His love knew no bounds. He had a profound empathy for those around him. His 29 years of dedication and love for his career in the entertainment industry as a stagehand left an indelible mark on all he encountered. His love for his work family was immeasurable. While Donald's passing has left an irreplaceable void, his legacy will continue to be celebrated through the countless lives he touched.
Service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cherry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Margaret Bolton; son, Jsyn Bolton; daughters, Lily and Annabella Bolton; father, Donald Ray Bolton Jr "Bubba"; mother, Faye Michelle Bolton; sister, Rachel Charlene Bolton; brother, Perry Wayne Bolton; grandmother, Julia Johnson; aunt, Ruby "Sissy" Morgan; uncles, Frank Johnson(Nancy) and Bobby Wayne Johnson(Judy); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Ray Bolton Sr; grandmother, Gwen Bolton Swords; grandfather, Bobby Lee Johnson; sister, Rhonda Humphrey; and uncle Jimmy Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Josh Carrier, Chip Bryant, Chuk Cole, Joe Giddens, Ketric Burt, Sylvester Minniefield, J.D. McCain, Larry "Buddy" Wambles, Mark Morris, and Richard Meltzer.
Visitation: 5-8pm Monday, December 11, 2023 and 10am until service time Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
