Hattie Floyd
Blue Springs – Hattie Floyd, 83, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing, taking care of her cats, flowers and her dog “Pug” until he passed away. She was a seamstress for Lucky Star until she retired. She attended Jericho Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Merle Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Ellistown Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Bedford (special friend, Jimmy) of Blue Springs, Brenda Chariez (Roberto) of Fort Worth, TX, Bobbie Dale Westmoreland (Eric) of Burnsville and Virginia “Shelly” Brown (Thomas) of Blue Springs; (8) grandchildren; (11) great-grandchildren; (3) great-great-grandchildren; (10) step-grandchildren; (13) step-great-grandchildren; host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Bobby H. Floyd; parents, George Davis Jr. and Willie Pearl Frazer, Davis; siblings, George Richard Davis, Bobby Davis and Willie Jewel Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Larry Joe Bedford, Joshua Dunaway, Thomas Ronnie Beaty II, Thomas Brown, Roberto Chairez and Eric Westmoreland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Blaylock, Matthew Strickland and Jimmy Bedford.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m.
