Betty Elizabeth Wesson Roberts, 92, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Booneville. Betty had always enjoyed sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking and a variety of crafts. Betty was active at Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she had worked with children and went on numerous mission trips.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 6 p.m. with Dr. Chester Harrison officiating.
She is survived by four daughters, Becky (Charlie) Wescoat of St. Louis, MO; Brenda (Dean) Barron of Clarksville, TN; Belinda Honeycutt of Baldwyn, MS; and Beverly (Kenneth) Hickey of New Albany, MS. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren – Jason (Jenny) Wescoat of St. Louis, MO; Masha Kinley of St. Louis, MO; Sara Wescoat of Springfield, MO; Chris (Kayla) Wescoat of Rogersville, MO; Laura Beth Barron of Clarksville, TN; Keeton (Rebecca) Barron of Clarksville, TN; Kevin (Anna) Barron of Savannah, GA; Luke Cockrell of New Albany, MS; Timothy (Val) Cockrell of Stuttgart, Germany; Kyle (Veronica) Hickey of Starkville, MS; Kurt (Meghan) Hickey of Pontotoc, MS.; plus 16 great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Roberts; her sons-in-law, Junior Cockrell and David Honeycutt and her grandson, Marc Cockrell.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Bed Ministry or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
