Peggy Malone Rakestraw
Guntown- Peggy Malone Rakestraw,81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her home.She enjoyed fishing, bowling, bird watching, feeding all wildlife, and watching basketball was her favorite pastime. She was a huge Steelers fan. She lived for her kids and she was the strongest, most determined selfless person. She loved with all her heart and she loved her kids and grandkids with all she had. She also loved her “adopted” kids and she had many that she called her own. She was a Baptist.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p. m.
She is survived by three sons, Marty Fowler, Rick Fowler and Robert Rakestraw all of Guntown; two daughters, Allison Parker of Guntown, Becky Winters (George) of Guntown; (5) grandchildren, Cody Parker, Zack Fowler, Jodi Copeland, Autumn Neil and Gabe Winters; (6) great-grandchildren; (1) great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Melissa Floyd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Rakestraw; mother, Lucille Smith; brother, Jr. Malone; sister, JoAnn Vinson; son, Bud Fowler.
