Linda Bishop
Baldwyn – Linda Murley Bishop, age 82 died Saturday February 3, 2024 at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after a brief illness. She was a retired seamstress from Lucky Star Ind. and outstanding basketball player and basketball coach. She was a member of the MT Olive Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time at her cabin, at Sardis. She loved spending time with her family.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home with Dr. Chester Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Prentiss Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her sister, Hazel Huneycutt of Knoxville, TN, 2 brothers, Archie Murley & Linda Jean and Harold Murley & Joyce all of Baldwyn, her caregivers, Stephanie Gooch & John, Beneta Hutcheson & Larry and Ronnie Johnson & Trish also a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Pall bearers will be Ronnie Johnson, Carl Bryan, Sidney Murley, John Gooch, Josh Lindsey and Bob Garrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert H. & Nina M. Wallis Murley her husband of 57 years Curtis Wayne Bishop, 3 sisters, Eunice, Eula and Evelyn and 5 brothers, E. J., Leland, Dennis, Pascal and Breland.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 am until service time at 1 pm.
