Jimmy Donald Franks, II, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024.
Jimmy was born March 12, 1983 to Jimmy Franks and Gwen Garrard. As a child, Jimmy had a deep love for horses and was a competitive equestrian. He was a caring and cheerful friend, so it was only fitting his career spanned throughout various roles of the hospitality industry in Mississippi. Jimmy had an infectious laugh, recognizable to all who knew him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Garrard, and grandparents JD Franks, Frances Ballard Franks, Margaret Franks, James Thomas Garrard, and Faye Smith Weining.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy Franks of Sturgis, sister Amy Lynn Smith of Starkville, Grandfather Bob Weining of Starkville, and Ruth Franks.
Memorial services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Sturgis on Saturday, February 10, 2024 with Stevie Franks officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., with a service immediately following at 3pm. Burial will be at McClelland Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are Jimbo Garrard, Bradley Franks, Rick Franks, Jason Mann, Brent Russell, and Stacy Stricklin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McClelland Cemetery fund.
