Billy Quay Hearn, became totally healed on February 7, 2024. He was born October 21, 1941 in Union County to the late Guy and Pludie Hearn of the Pinedale, MS. He worked at Futorian in New Albany for 29 years before starting at Union County Sheriffs Department in 1989. He was a deputy for 16 years before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed being outdoors in the woods looking for a big buck or on the lake casting a line. Billy loved his wife, Sandra, of 57 years and adored his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Billy was a Christian and a member of the Thaxton Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, February, 10, 2024 at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS. Bro. Mark Jones and Bro. Jimmy Russell will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church in Union County. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors, wife of 57 years, Sandra Hearn; children, Danny Hearn (Nell) of Ecru, MS, Teresa Curbow of Tupelo, MS, Mattie Lassiter (Raymond) of Houston, MS and Tommy Hearn (Natallie) of Pinedale, MS; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by, parents; brother, Dean Hearn of Pinedale, MS; sisters, Fay Jones (W.C.) of Belden; Sylvia Russell (Albert Wayne) of Hurricane, MS; daughter-in-law, Dawn Hearn of Pinedale, MS; and granddaughter, Reecie Cotton Whiteside of Pinedale, MS.
Pallbearers, Danny Hearn, Tommy Hearn, Ryan Hearn, Logan Hearn, Jon Hearn and Kevin New; honorary, Nicholas Bullock and Gene Turner.
Visitation, 1:00 pm until service time Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS.
