William Rayburn “Billy” Harbin, Jr., 65, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born December 21, 1958, to William Rayburn and Joann Marie Lippincott Harbin, Sr. He was truck driver most all his life, long hauling from the east coast to the west coast. He pursued and eventually owned his own trucking company, Harbin Trucking. He also drove local, and last worked at Brown Trucking. He was a member of the East Heights Baptist Church, where he was enjoyed being involved with the youth and also drove a bus route for the church for several years. He enjoyed golfing, watching movies, and working in his yard. He also enjoyed water skiing with his family.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Tuesday, February 13, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Perry officiating. David Wilburn will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Boguefala Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Joann Marie Harbin; his siblings, Linda Herman Mike) of Foley, AL, Debra Rae Smith of Gulf Shores, AL, Cindy Garner (Donnie)of Amory, MS, James V. Harbin of Mantachie, and Pam Clark (Jack) of Tupelo; several nieces, nephews and other family members; a very special friend, David Wilburn of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Faye Putt; and his father, William Rayburn Harbin, Sr.

Pallbearers will be James V. Harbin, Scotty Farris, Chris Gann, Mike Herman, Jack Clark, and Mike Harbin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Garner and Eric Farris.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
