Elsie Ray Wood
Baldwyn- Elsie Ray Wood, 95, passed away at the Generations Assisted Senior Living Facility. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and spending time with her great-grandchildren and family. She was a retired aircraft mechanic and a Baptist.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2024 at noon with Bro. Kelly Carmicheal officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Angela Murphy (Craig) of Baldwyn and Melissa Turner (Ray) of Canton, MS; great-grandchildren, Mady Murphy, Macy Murphy both of Baldwyn and Ashley Turner of Canton; special friends at Generations Senior Living Facility and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charlie Wood; parents, James Henry and Addie Walden Davis; great-grandson, Cody Vandevander; sister, Bessie Heavner; brothers, R. P. Davis and J.H. Davis; daughter, Sherriel Ozbirn and a son-in-law, Jerry Ozbirn.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a. m. until service time at noon.
