Eunice Ryder

Baldwyn- Eunice Juanita Cook Ryder, 84, went to her heavenly home at NMMC on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from an extended illness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born July 28, 1939, to Fred and Mary Cook.

She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1957. She was a seamstress for Lucky Star and Oxford Industries. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, listening to Southern Gospel music, attending church, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 1 sister, Sara Hardin (Billy) of Lucedale, MS, and 1 sister-in-law, Sarah Frances Cook of New Albany, MS; her ex-husband and friend, Roy Ryder; her 3 children, Anthony Ryder (Linda), of VA, Paris Osmundson (Michael) of MS, and Rebecca Carter (Gary) of GA. She had 9 grandchildren, Chelsey Eubank (Robert), Amber Carter, Codi Lynn Ryder, Catie Schmidt (Johnny), Ingrid Osmundson, Maggie Carter, Sheila Carter, Ryder Osmundson, and Camden Ryder (Lexi), and 5 great-grandchildren, Amelia Schmidt, Cara Eubank, Bennett Ryder, Carson Schmidt, and Anastasia Eubank. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mary Cook; 3 brothers: Fred T. Cook, George T. Cook, and Joesph S. Cook; 1 nephew George ”Greg” Gregory Cook; and 1 daughter-in-law, Kim Ryder.

The visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Her service will be on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn.

Pallbearers: Camden Ryder, Ryder Osmundon, Jeffery Cook, Barry Cook, Ryan Cook, and Corey Large.
