Mrs. Billie Faust Hudgins, 69, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS in Oxford. A visitation celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home. Mrs. Hudgins’ final resting place will be in Eastover Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Hudgins was born on November 17, 1954 in Memphis, TN to the late William and Mary Allene Miles Faust. She grew up in a large and loving family as one of ten children and held close relationships with her siblings. In 1973, Billie married Richard Lynn Hudgins and together they raised their children in a home filled with love. Through their own examples, they instilled in their children the importance of family and delighted in the days spent getting everyone together at the shop. As their families grew, they regularly made time to gather for food and fellowship all in the name of simply being together with their children while watching their grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up before their eyes. The summers spent with her sister in Texas were some of her fondest memories!

Billie was a longtime and faithful member of Unity Baptist Church. She could often be found reading and would have loved to see the weather warming up signaling that it was time to start working in her beloved flower garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudgins was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Richard Lynn Hudgins; four sisters, Clara Smith, Gloria Kelley, Carol Thweatt and Nona Crater and a brother, Charlie Faust.

She is survived by her four daughters, affectionately referred to by their “numbers”, daughter #1, Michelle Hudgins Norris and her husband Johnny, daughter #2, Stephanie Hudgins Anderson and her husband, Tom of Water Valley; daughter #3 Beverly Hudgins Kagey and her husband, Rick of Oxford and daughter #4, Jeana Hudgins Tidwell and her husband, Bill of Oxford; a sister, Nancy Smith of Oxford; three brothers, Harvey Faust of Olive Branch, MS, Vernon Faust of Oxford, MS and Kenny Faust of Austin, TX; twelve grandchildren, Jodey (Cory), Loura (David), Michael (Heather), Brelynn, Candice (Daniel), Hanna (Matt), Matthew (Cristina), Ricky, Nicklas, Hunter, Logan and Jace; ten great-grandchildren and many beloved members of her extended family.

Expressions of sympathy or memorial contributions in Mrs. Hudgins’ memory may be made to “Save Our Soldiers (SOS)”, c/o Beverly Kagey, 106 CR 469, Oxford, MS 38655.
