FULTON – Donna Burger Howington, 78, passed away peacefully April 2, 2024, in New Albany, MS, with family and friends by her side.  She was born January 10, 1946, in Ocala, Florida, to Erbie and Thelma Adams.  For many years Donna  worked at South Central Bell in Memphis, TN; and then after moving to Tupelo, MS, she worked for Thomas Street School as a teacher assistant and at the Harrisburg Church Daycare. She always had a strong love for  children and sharing God's love to all she came in contact with. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses – Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate one to another, forgiving each another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." Her other favorite verse was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."  Donna loved her family, church (Bethel Baptist of Fulton, MS),  friends, quilting, and reading.

Donna is survived by her brother, Aaron Adams (Virginia) of Florida; her two daughters, Angela Tennison (Brian) and Cynthia Baldwyn (Todd); six grandchildren, Bailey Tennison Hall  (Adam), Megan Austin Hames (Jordan), Lindsey Tennison Wheeler (Drew), Joseph Albert Austin (Grace), Will Austin, and Hailey Austin; and four great grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by husbands Al Burger (Tupelo, MS) and Doug Howington (Bradford, TN), both her parents, and two sisters.

Please join us celebrating her life at noon on Wednesday, April 3, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, MS.  Her pastor, Dr. Kevin Clayton, will officiate the service.  Private burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
