Doris Hood

Kirkville- Doris Moore Hood 87, passed away at the Meadows Nursing Facility in Fulton on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was a seamstress and former employee of Blue Bell MFG. She enjoyed fishing, word search puzzles, reading her bible, watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris was a faithful member of Ozark Church of Christ for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22, 2024 @ 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Tony Brown and Bro. Carl Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, David P. Hood (Cindy) and Debbie Massey (Randy); grandchildren, Joey P. Hood (Nyla), Jonathan Hood (April) and Cameron Massey; great-grandchildren, Brady P. Hood (Macon), Colt Jumper (Megan), Abby Hood, Jansen Hood and Jon Luke Hood; great-great- grandchildren, Bentley Hall, Blakely Jumper, Beckett Jumper and Watson Hood; sister, Nellie Hood (Gene) and brother, Mack Moore (Barbara); host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jourd and Bernice Tynes Moore; husband of 59 years, Clinton P. Hood; sisters, Pat Duvall and JoAnn Thornton; brother, William Jourd “Dub” Moore; sister-in-laws, Eupil Rayburn and Thelma K. Hood.

Pallbearers will be Joey P. Hood, Jonathan Hood, Brady P. Hood, Colt Jumper, Jansen Hood, Jon Luke Hood and Cade Bennett.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until service time @ 2:00 p. m.
