Candy Spencer
Saltillo – Edna Lou “Candy” Spencer, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the NMMC. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, fishing and going to yard sales. She had worked at Super Sagless for 30 years and NMMC for 11 years. She was a Baptist and attended Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday, August 01, 2024 at noon with Bro. Robert Humphries officiating. Burial will be in Campbelltown Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of over 30 years , Jimmy Spencer of Saltillo; daughter, Christi Hoffpauir (Darrell) of Mantachie; sons, Bobby Martin of Guntown and Nick Martin (Sharon) of Tupelo; sisters, Jane Petty of Alpine, Charlotte Dickie (Jerry) of Oxford and Brenda Surratt (Jake) of Batesville; (9) grandchildren, James R. Martin, Bridgette Seger, Michael Martin, Jeremy Martin, Carley Jenkins, Carley Linton, Leland Linton, Bailey Nabors and Breeze Nabors; (9) great-grandchildren; (2) great-great-grandchildren; host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hattie Gant Groner; sons, Michael Martin, Mark Martin and James Martin, JR.; sister, Sherry Holloway; brother, Gene Groner.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time @ noon.
